Music as a development resource for the resocialisation of young people and adolescents who have committed offences
The ?Auftakt? project is concerned with the question of the extent to which youth detention can represent a space for cultural education and be integrated into the cultural infrastructure of the state of Schleswig-Holstein. The aim is to open up access to cultural education for the target group of young people and adolescents who have committed offences and to anchor music as an aspect of the resocialisation process. The project is based on three pillars, which are interlinked in terms of content and developed iteratively:
- Basic research
Research into the importance of music as a development and (re)socialisation resource for young people who have committed crimes
- Scientific communication
Social and educational policy sensitisation to the importance of music practices as an aspect of cultural education for young offenders
- Transfer & dissemination
Development of a strategy for the sustainable implementation of cultural education programmes to support the prevention of child and youth crime, taking into account existing structures and networks in the state of Schleswig-Holstein
