The Centre for Teacher Education (Zentrum für Lehrkr?ftebildung, ZfL) is a central institution of the MHL that performs cross-departmental tasks in the conception, organisation and coordination of teaching-related study programmes at the MHL. The centre initiates and participates in teaching-related research and development projects as well as their connection with practical vocational training. In its work, the ZfL forms the interface between the institutions involved in the training of future teachers in Schleswig-Holstein: from the Ministry of Education to the universities in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, the Institute for Quality Development Schleswig-Holstein (IQSH) and the Competence Centre for Music Education Schleswig-Holstein (KMB.SH) to the schools.
Tasks
- Inter-university organisation and coordination of the teaching offer for the teacher training programmes
- Communication with regard to the implementation of practical school, pedagogical, subject didactic and subject-specific studies
- Organisation of practical school study components and internship visits
- Participation in the updating of study and examination regulations
- Project management for the accreditation of study programmes in the area of teacher training
- Participation in job advertisements involved in covering the supply of teaching staff in teacher training courses of study
- Advising applicants for teaching positions and participating in measures to attract them promoting cooperation in educational research and teacher training institutions, the Institute for Quality Development, cooperating universities and schools
- Participation in further and continuing education offers for teacher training in the area of responsibility of the MHL.
