Keyboard instruments
The Master of Music Instrumental degree programme is aimed at musicians who have great musical talent and have already developed their instrumental skills to a high standard during their Bachelor's degree.
They are also expected to have acquired knowledge and skills in music theory and musicological subjects that go far beyond the basics. Accordingly, the focus is clearly on the respective major subject, without neglecting the above-mentioned subjects. The aim is always professionalisation in the artistic subject. In addition to the highest level of technical ability, the aim is to gain comprehensive knowledge of the respective repertoire. This should encompass all epochs and not be limited to the solo repertoire. Ensemble playing in particular is a central component of the MHL's Master's programme and promotes not only artistic but also personal development on a social level.
On completion of the programme, students should be able to independently explore music from all eras and create and represent independent interpretations.
