Qualifying Examination for the Bachelor of Music Bachelor of Music Music Theory / Ear Training

REQUIREMENTS

Main subject
Mastery of harmony and classical counterpoint. Please submit your own compositions and/or compositions with your application for participation in the aptitude test.

Theory exam
Short two-part counterpoint in Renaissance style, short continuo, realisation of a chorale line, analysis of a classical-romantic composition, analysis of a contemporary composition.

Ear Training exam
Colloquium General questions on music theory, questions and explanations on the work you have submitted, tasks on aural training and sight-singing

Piano
Performance of two compositions of medium difficulty from different epochs. If piano is not the main instrument, a work on the respective main instrument can be presented instead of one of the two piano pieces.

VIDEO SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

You do not have to submit video in advance. The pre-selection is made on the basis of the music theory papers submitted. The other aptitude test components take place exclusively in presence.
