Qualifying Examination for the Bachelor of Music Composition

REQUIREMENTS

Main subject
Submission of own compositions within the application deadline. A pre-selection will be made on the basis of these compositions.

Letter of motivation
Describe your motivation for applying and your desire to study. Why do you want to study composition in 明升m88体育_明升体育官网-在线|平台 (max. 2,000 characters)? To be submitted within the application deadline.

Piano as compulsory subject
Performance of two moderately difficult piano pieces of different character

Music Theory (written and practical)
Mastery of major-minor harmony including modulation, knowledge and skills in simple work analysis, questions on music history, music theory and contemporary music, proof of creative talent, improvisation

Ear Training (written)
Confident grasp of intervals, chords, rhythmic and harmonic relationships

VIDEO SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

You do not have to submit video in advance. The pre-selection is made on the basis of the submitted compositional works. The other aptitude test components take place exclusively in presence.
